VIETNAM TRIP
Hiyaz ppl! It has been a long time since i bloggggged... haha. and now i am gonna blog abt the vietnam trip!! haha.

My vietnam trip was counted more than fun and eventful. it was much better than i expected though it was punctuated with numerous accidents that i preferred would not have happened. i made quite a few jokes of myself along the way too. -.-'''

DAY 1: HANOI
it was nothing much. but the lifestyle there is really different from singapore. the streets are noisy, the traffic lights are just there for show, there are few cars but infinity number of scooters and sounding their horns are like part of their daily lives. we checked into sunflower hotel after arrival in Hanoi and then got ready to sleep. but before tht, we had the nicest dinner ever!!! =p
p.s: hotel was err... boo.

DAY 2: Hanoi-HALONG BAY-CATBA
we went to Catba in Halong Bay by boat. along they way, we went to visit limestone caves. it was my first time looking at stalactites and stalagmites. they were awesome! after that we returned to the boat and had a seafood lunch. NICE! then we reached the hotel in the evening. it was so much better than the one in Hanoi. haha. i can see the night view of Catba from my window! woo!

DAY 3: Trek! Ngulam Peak!
the trekking was really fun! but it was more than what it really was. haha. who treks vertically up using both hands and legs? it was really tiring, but fun! haha. never had such trekking but wouldnt mind having another of suck trek. =p
MOST FUN-FILLED DAY!

DAY 4: overnight train from Hanoi-SAPA
it was rush hour after returning from Halong Bay to Hanoi. we had three hours to sort out what we wanted to take to Sapa and have our bath and dinner. and we only had a bathroom to share among all of us and we could not decide what to bring due to the weather changes. but nevetheless, we got packed and ready to set off in time! i could not wait to get on the train. reminds me of harry potter. haha. the train wasnt really that bad, not dirty at all. but we had a really nice sleep that night! better than the first night in Hanoi. it was creepy then. wont want to mention it.

DAY 5: SAPA!!!
we reached Laocai first, then visited the Cocly Market where most of the hill tribes and tourist visit. we see those freshly slaughtered pigs on display. urgh. yuck! and i got stalked half the time by some man wearing black and pulling his cap real low. then he scarpered when i glared at him. bahh... -.-''' then we took the bus to SAPA!!!

DAY 6: SAPA!!! [Catcat Village]
we went to visit the village of the Flower H'mongs. =p we met two girls there who never received any education but speak fluent english! they are really cute, sweet and cheeky! haha. loves them loads. the village was muddy and filled with dung all over. the trip was enjoyable though! i really love it and would have loved it much more if i hadnt got pickpocketed on the way backk. lost my ezlinkk card and family photo too. stupid thief. but my aunt found money on the floor and we believe the pickpocket dropped the money in a hurry. stupid man. *curses him*

DAY 7: SAPA!!!
Nothing much la.. visited more hill tribes. but i still love Catcat Village.

DAY 8: BACK TO HANOI
we went to another village and saw a tribal wedding. the groom was so young! omg... the train backk was bad... SLEEPLESS NIGHT.

DAY 9: HANOI
morning... went to the wholesale market. it was a great trip! things arent like this in s'pore. hard to describe. but it's nice! go see for yourself!

DAY 10: Hanoi City Tour
ended up looking for places to eat. lolx. had a buffet for lunch and went to ceramic village after tht. haha.

DAY 11: Singapore
aww... it was time to go home.. misses vietnam lots. COS I LOVE IT THERE!

when i first heard i was going to vietnam, i wasnt really looking forward to it. i was ok with it, but not really excited as the time when i heard we were gng to NZ or Australia. But vietnam turned out to be a surprise. the people here were sincere, the place here was cleaner than i expected and winter here was cool and Dien the tour guide was fun to be with.

Getting pickpocketed was only one of the bad things that happened and i was sad, angry and esp. disgusted with the pickpocket. *curses him still* may he fall with every step, fail in any further attempts of pickpocket, drown when taking a shower and choke when having meals in jail.

BAD BAD THINGS:
-lost cap i wore to prom night on Day 4
-fell sick on Day 5
-hurt myself when getting on bus on Day 10
*got scared to death at night in hotel on Day 10*
