the ruling class
there is this book written by Francine Pascal... The ruling class, it was called. Somehow, whether may it be stress or not, my thoughts fluttered over to thinking whether in singapore schools, there are ruling classes everywhere. I havent actually read the book, but i know it is something along the lines of the movie Mean Girls. I liked that movie, though it was really bitchy.
Well, you cant say that Singapore girls can make it to be one of those plastics as mentioned in Mean Girls. For one thing, they aren't pretty enough. And aren't bimbo enough. And aren't bitchy enough. Most of us lack these qualities anyway. But you can say there is a nature that these plastics have that lies true among everyone in Singapore, or maybe most of us anyway.
They want to be in the limelight. They want to have a large amount of control over everything bimbotic. Just to prove that they are empowering.
For goodness... Look at the things they do. They want to know every gossip in school and then let the others guess while laughing behind their backs. They like to say one thing and think otherwise. They like to get themselves involved in everything big and secretive among any person so that they will know the newest gossips in town and not care how many people they upset during the process, even when it was none of their business. They like to get closer to the guys any other girl possibly can get. They get jealous when guys are closer to girls they think aren't good or pretty enough. Fact is, the girls aren't the kind guys like to mix with. They want to, in other words, be in control of everything and rule the class, the school, the world. In any case, if you haven't noticed, the title of the book similar to the movie, is the RULING CLASS. Well, i doubt they really ruled anyway.
I don't think i can tolerate any of that kind of person in the world. Thank goodness there aren't girls that mean over here in Singapore, but that doesn't mean that no girls in singapore wont want to be involved in gossips or get close to guys. we are girls anyway, opposites attract. that's ok with me though. i cant stand gossips because if gossips are meant for us to know, they would not be called gossips. a nicer way of putting it would be a 'secret let out'. duhh. *rolls eyes*
i dont know when my tolerance level will just drop and one day holler myself at those plastics-twins... though plastics-twins here in Singapore aren't that mean, i can't stand them either. Maybe if you move me over to America high schools, i might love Singaporean plastics more.
